Mel and his team were extremely thorough in identifying and correcting a water leakage problem from the top of our deck into the enclosed sun room below. They were both professional and courteous and provided great follow up after the job was completed. I highly recommend MI Homesiding & Roofing for any problem that involves water leakage into your home. I will definitely use MI in the future.Posted on Google![]()

Highly recommend MI Homesiding! They completed a major home exterior project for us including replacing and painting our siding as well as replacing our roofing and gutters. They did an excellent job and we began getting compliments immediately from our neighbors about it! Mel was very communicative and proactive, listened to our questions and ideas, and took care of things in a timely manner. His team was always professional and the work is just superb! We not only recommend MI Homesiding, we will be using them again for future projects ourselves.Posted on Google![]()

I found MI Homesiding & Roofing through their YouTube channel and called with a few questions about siding. Even though I’m not located in Tennessee and wouldn’t be hiring them directly, they answered the phone right away and took the time to answer every question in detail. They provided specific, helpful information and even assisted me in finding a contractor in my area. It’s rare to find a company so willing to help someone who isn’t even a local customer. Awesome people, excellent service, and truly knowledgeable. Thank you so much!Posted on Google![]()

We are very happy with MI Homesiding's workmanship and dedication to achieve the best results for our Hardyboard residing. Mel answered our calls promptly; addressing and tending to any question we had. As with any home renovation, we ran into minor issues when we removed the siding the flashing was old and damaged. MI siding was more than happy to give us a fair estimate and replace the flashing to the siding. Porta-potty & dumpster were dropped off immediately prior to process, and removed with equal precision. Workers were diligent maintaining a safe & clean work area; cleaning remnant debris on last day. We recommended MI to our neighbors, and are having them back to caulk & paint. They did an excellent job at a fair price.Posted on Google![]()

MI Home Siding LLC did an excellent job on my home. Mel Hernandez and his crew worked on my siding, roofing, gutters, and exterior painting. They showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and completed the work as promised. The quality of the work was great, and they treated my home with care and respect. I really appreciated their honesty and communication throughout the project. I highly recommend MI Home Siding LLC to anyone looking for exterior work in Knoxville.”
Roofing in Clinton is harder than most homeowners realize.
Homes near the Clinch River face constant humidity, valley fog, and heavier rainfall that breaks down shingles, underlayment, and flashing faster than inland properties. South Clinton's older neighborhoods carry multiple layers of old roofing stacked over decades, with hidden rot in the decking underneath.
Newer Anderson County subdivisions deal with the opposite problem — builder-grade roofs installed too fast, with flashing details that fail just outside the warranty window.
We install, repair, and replace roofs across all three. As a GAF Certified Residential Roofing Contractor, As a GAF Certified Residential Roofing Contractor, we can offer GAF’s System Plus Limited Warranty on qualifying roofing systems, subject to GAF eligibility, terms, and conditions.

The most common roofing issues we see across Clinton:
Homes near the Clinch River: wind-lifted shingles on south-facing slopes, granule loss from sun exposure, failed flashing at chimneys, underlayment that has degraded faster than warranty predicted, and moisture trapped in attics from valley humidity.
South Clinton's older neighborhoods: multiple layers of old roofing stacked, hidden rot under shingles, failed pipe boots, and chimney flashing that was never replaced through decades of patches.
Newer Anderson County subdivisions: builder-grade 3-tab shingles past their lifespan, missing or poorly installed flashing at wall-to-roof transitions, sagging gutter edges pulling on fascia, and ice-and-water shield gaps.

Clinton sits in the Tennessee Valley along the Clinch River, between Norris Lake and the Cumberland foothills.
That position brings river humidity, valley fog, heavier rainfall, intense summer sun, and seasonal storms that push roofs harder than in flatter parts of the state.
We install with synthetic underlayment, ice-and-water shield at eaves and valleys, properly fastened drip edge, sealed flashing at every transition, and balanced attic ventilation matched to each home's exposure.

A low roofing quote in Clinton usually means cuts you cannot see.
Cheap roofs reuse old flashing, skip ice-and-water shield, use the wrong nail pattern, ignore proper ventilation, and treat every home the same regardless of slope, exposure, or condition underneath.
The roof looks fine the day the crew leaves. The first heavy wind or wet season exposes the shortcuts.
Most of the roofing jobs we redo in Clinton started as a low bid from another contractor who never inspected the deck, the flashing, or the ventilation. See our bad roof installation repair page.

Architectural shingles last 25–30 years, standing seam metal 40–50+ years, and ribbed metal panels 30–40 years. Clinton's river humidity, valley fog, and sun exposure can shorten those numbers on south-facing slopes if installation details are skipped.
