MI Homesiding & Roofing
Water clearing the gutter completely in a hard rain? Trough full again a month after it was cleaned?
Seamless gutters, downspouts, repairs and leaf protection across Sevierville — sized to the roof that drains into them, priced by the foot on your house, and hung on fascia we have checked first.
The complaint we hear most in Sevierville is not a gutter that drips. It is a gutter that the water goes straight past. On a steep slope rain arrives at the eave fast and with momentum, and a trough that would handle the same volume on a shallow roof simply does not catch it. Cleaning changes nothing, because the gutter was never blocked.
The second complaint is the opposite problem on the same street: a trough that fills with needles and leaf litter weeks after it was cleared, because the lot is wooded and the roof is long.
Both come back to the same measurement — how much roof drains into that one run, how fast it arrives, and where the water can get out. So that is where we start, and we show you what we found before quoting anything.

Mel was so easy to work with. We had him out because we needed to figure out how to fix a roof leak where the flashing wasn't done right (and part of the siding was also not right). He did a thorough inspection and explained to me what issues he saw. His quote was similar to the other we got. We ended up having him put on a new roof, with a new under shingle ventilation system and a roof vent. He also corrected siding issues (and flashing), fixed some rotten trim, and repainted part of the siding and trim. Everything looks great! His crews were very nice. Of all the contractors we've worked with on various renovations, Mel was easily one of the best at quickly responding when we had a question or saw an issue we wanted handled differently. We'll definitely hire him again if we need roof or siding work!Posted on Google![]()

Mel and his team were extremely thorough in identifying and correcting a water leakage problem from the top of our deck into the enclosed sun room below. They were both professional and courteous and provided great follow up after the job was completed. I highly recommend MI Homesiding & Roofing for any problem that involves water leakage into your home. I will definitely use MI in the future.Posted on Google![]()

They did an excellent job and we began getting compliments immediately from our neighbors about it! Mel was very communicative and proactive, listened to our questions and ideas, and took care of things in a timely manner. His team was always professional and the work is just superb! We not only recommend MI Homesiding, we will be using them again for future projects ourselves.Posted on Google![]()

I found MI Homesiding & Roofing through their YouTube channel and called with a few questions about siding. Even though I’m not located in Tennessee and wouldn’t be hiring them directly, they answered the phone right away and took the time to answer every question in detail. They provided specific, helpful information and even assisted me in finding a contractor in my area. It’s rare to find a company so willing to help someone who isn’t even a local customer. Awesome people, excellent service, and truly knowledgeable. Thank you so much!Posted on Google![]()

Our Own Warranty on the Work
Five years on a complete replacement and one year on a repair, covering how it was installed — our labor and our details.
Gutter size is not a style choice, and the right answer is not the same on two houses on the same road. Four things set it, and around Sevierville the first two carry more weight than they do on flatter ground:
Six-inch with larger outlets earns its place where a large or steep area concentrates into one run, or where the run is long and the outlets are few. Plenty of Sevierville homes are well served by five-inch with the outlets in the right places. We measure the contributing area and the pitch first, then tell you which one the house needs — rather than quoting the wider trough to everybody.
Not every gutter problem needs a new gutter. The trough, the hangers and the board behind them decide it.
We photograph what we find before recommending either. There is more on the work itself on our Knoxville gutter page.

A seamless gutter is rolled from coil at your house and cut to the run it has to cover. The only joints are at the corners and the outlets, instead of one every ten feet or so. Joints are where sealant eventually gives up, which is why a sectional run usually starts leaking at the seams first.
That matters more on the long elevations common around here. A rear slope that needs forty-odd feet of gutter would take several joints in sectional stock; formed on site it is one piece, and the fall is set across the whole length at once rather than negotiated joint by joint.
Colors are matched to the siding and trim rather than left as a contrasting band along the eave.
A gutter hangs on the fascia, and a hanger screwed into softened wood has nothing to hold. When a run has been overshooting or overflowing for a season or two, the water goes behind it and the board takes it. So the fascia gets checked before anything new goes up, not after.
The soffit underneath is the intake side of the attic ventilation. Under heavy tree cover it also collects debris, and on older homes it is often wood painted over several times, which closes the vent area without anyone noticing. A ridge vent above a blocked soffit moves very little air.
Where the work is the roofline itself rather than the gutter, that is its own job: see soffit and fascia repair. Where rot turns up once the old gutter is off, it is documented with photographs and priced in a written Change Order before the new run goes up.

On a lot with real tree cover, a guard cuts how often the trough has to be cleared, and that is worth something. What it does not do is make a gutter bigger.
So we look at the tree cover over that particular roof, and at the sizing, before saying whether protection is worth adding. More on the options on our gutter guard installation page, and a longer read in our post on gutter installation in Sevierville.
Gutter work is priced by the linear foot, measured around your roofline rather than estimated from the floor plan. These are our published Selling Prices:
| Item | Selling Price |
|---|---|
| Seamless gutter | $15.25 per linear foot |
| Downspout | $15.25 per linear foot |
| Each elbow | Counted as 1 linear foot |
| Technical Assessment | $350, credited back in full |
What that figure is and is not. It is one price per linear foot. It does not change with trough width, so a six-inch run is not quoted at a premium and a five-inch run is not quoted as a saving — the width follows the roof, not the invoice. Elbows are counted as a foot each rather than billed as separate fittings. The same rate applies in Sevierville as anywhere else we work.
Quoted separately, because they depend on what we find: leaf protection, repairs to an existing run, fascia replacement where the board has gone soft, and cleaning. We do not publish a figure for those, because the figure depends on your roofline.
On-site estimates are free for standard gutter work. The $350 Technical Assessment applies to complex inspections — active water damage, previous repair work, or conditions we cannot verify from the ground — and is credited back in full if you move forward.
A gutter system is a smaller job than a roof, but it often comes up at the same time as one. Financing runs through our lending partner, so the sizing and any fascia work get done properly rather than trimmed to fit a cash figure.
Applications are reviewed by the lender. Approval, terms, and rates are set by them, not by us.
Real MI projects across our East Tennessee service area. These are photographs of our own work; we do not label a photo with a town unless we can verify where it was taken.

Coil goes through the forming machine on site, so the run comes out in one piece at the length that elevation needs.

Lengths and downspout stock laid out before they go up, on the kind of wooded, sloping lot this area is full of.

Outlet, elbow and downspout placed to carry water away from the wall instead of dropping it at the footing.
Usually not. If the trough is clear, water clearing the front edge is a capacity or a pitch problem — too much roof feeding one run, a steep slope delivering it fast, or too few outlets for the water arriving. Cleaning will not change it and neither will a guard. The fix is in the outlet count, the trough size or where the gutter sits relative to the drip edge.
Sometimes. A steep slope is a reason to look hard at it, because the water arrives faster, but pitch alone does not settle it — the contributing roof area and the outlet placement do. Plenty of steep roofs are well served by five-inch with the outlets in the right places. We measure before recommending the wider trough.
Seamless gutter and downspout are $15.25 per linear foot, with each elbow counted as a foot. The total comes from the linear feet measured around your roofline and the number of downspouts the roof needs. Leaf protection, repairs, fascia replacement and cleaning are quoted separately because they depend on what we find.
Under real tree cover they usually are, because they cut how often the trough has to be cleared. They do not make the gutter bigger, and fine grit, needles and shingle granules still get through most guards, so a guarded gutter still needs checking rather than forgetting.
It gets replaced before the new run goes up, because a hanger screwed into soft wood has nothing to hold. If we find it once the old gutter is off, it is documented with photographs and priced in a written Change Order before the work continues.
Yes. Sevierville is a city in Sevier County, and we work both inside the city and out in the surrounding county, as well as in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Seymour. Where a job turns into fascia or structural repair we confirm what that particular address requires before the proposal goes out.
Our workmanship warranty covers how the system was installed — the hanger spacing, the fall, the outlet locations and the sealed joints. It runs one year on a repair and five years on a complete replacement. The gutter material carries its own manufacturer coverage, which is separate from our labor.
We install, repair and replace gutters across Sevierville, inside the city and out in the surrounding county, and in the communities around it: Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Seymour and Dandridge, with broader exterior remodeling service across Knoxville and East Tennessee.
Working on more than the gutters? Our Sevierville exterior contractor page covers the whole exterior, and there are dedicated pages for roofing in Sevierville and siding in Sevierville. For the fascia behind the gutter, see our post on gutter services and fascia in Sevierville.
If the water is going past your gutters, filling them again weeks after a cleaning, or finding its way behind the fascia, we will measure the roof that drains into them and tell you plainly what it needs. On-site estimates are free for standard gutter work.
