MI Homesiding & Roofing
Rain gutter installation is not just about adding metal to the edge of a roof. It's about controlling rainwater before it reaches the fascia, siding, crawl space, and foundation. We install seamless aluminum systems built for East Tennessee's heavy rainfall — sized right, pitched right, and fastened into solid wood.
We don't treat gutters as a quick patch. Every install starts with the roofline, the fascia condition, and where the water actually needs to exit — not just where it looks clean from the ground.
A proper rain gutter system needs the right size, correct pitch, strong fastening, and smart downspout placement. We do not install gutters as a quick patch. We look at the roofline, fascia condition, water flow, low spots, and where the water should exit so the full system protects the home.

Mel was so easy to work with. We had him out because we needed to figure out how to fix a roof leak where the flashing wasn't done right (and part of the siding was also not right). He did a thorough inspection and explained to me what issues he saw. His quote was similar to the other we got. We ended up having him put on a new roof, with a new under shingle ventilation system and a roof vent. He also corrected siding issues (and flashing), fixed some rotten trim, and repainted part of the siding and trim. Everything looks great! His crews were very nice. Of all the contractors we've worked with on various renovations, Mel was easily one of the best at quickly responding when we had a question or saw an issue we wanted handled differently. We'll definitely hire him again if we need roof or siding work!Posted on Google![]()

I found MI Homesiding & Roofing through their YouTube channel and called with a few questions about siding. Even though I’m not located in Tennessee and wouldn’t be hiring them directly, they answered the phone right away and took the time to answer every question in detail. They provided specific, helpful information and even assisted me in finding a contractor in my area. It’s rare to find a company so willing to help someone who isn’t even a local customer. Awesome people, excellent service, and truly knowledgeable. Thank you so much!Posted on Google![]()

Undersized or poorly pitched rain gutters spill over the edge and run behind the fascia during heavy storms. Over time that leads to wood rot, siding stains, soil washout, and moisture at the foundation. We size every system to the roof and rain volume it actually needs, not a one-size-fits-all default.
A gutter that's too flat holds standing water and adds weight. One that's too small overflows before it reaches the downspout. We set correct pitch on every run and plan downspout count and placement based on roof size and grade — so water lands away from the foundation, not beside it. For homes with deeper drainage issues, our gutter downspout drainage correction service handles the full path.
📋 Hidden Damage Policy
Rain gutter installation often reveals rot, weak fascia, or damaged sheathing hidden behind old gutters or trim. That does not get covered up with a new system. We document what we find, explain it clearly, and issue a Change Order before the final install continues.

For homes with suspected fascia damage, the $350 Technical Assessment is credited back in full if you move forward.
Gutter and downspout are priced by the linear foot, and each elbow counts as one linear foot. Your total comes from the footage we measure on site, how many downspouts and elbows the roof needs, and the fascia condition behind the old run. See the current rate and the ballpark estimator.
Most failures we get called out for trace back to the same shortcuts: wrong pitch, hangers spaced too far apart, and downspouts dumping water right next to the foundation. None of that shows up on install day — it shows up the first time it really rains, usually as sagging gutter repair or clogged gutter repair calls a season or two later.

We install rain gutters across Knoxville and surrounding East Tennessee, including Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Powell, Halls, Fountain City, and South Knoxville. If your current gutter system is overflowing or draining too close to the foundation, we'll inspect it and recommend the right fix.
Most homeowners arrive here because something is already going wrong. What you need next depends on what the water is doing.
We measure every roof edge and downspout run on site, wherever your home is. On-site estimates are free for standard projects.
Yes. Properly installed gutters route water away from the foundation line, reducing the risk of cracks, erosion, and moisture intrusion.
Overflow during moderate rain, water running behind the gutter, or visible pooling are signs the system is undersized for your roof.
Yes. Overflow and backed-up water rot fascia boards and stain or damage siding over time.
Yes. Downspout count and placement are planned as part of every installation.

Roof runoff lands in a concentrated line along the drip edge. Over time that erodes the soil beside the wall, splashes dirt and water onto the siding, and keeps moisture against the foundation.
If water spills in one place, it is usually pitch, a clog, or an outlet in the wrong spot, and that is a repair. If the runs are undersized, sagging along their length, or the fascia behind them is failing, replacement is the honest answer.
